The Editorial Board annually honors outstanding multi-unit foodservice executives with the Golden Chain Award from Nation's Restaurant News, celebrating the recipients' recent accomplishments and career achievements. These awards are presented at the MUFSO Awards Banquet, which, for the 17th consecutive year (2008), is being sponsored by American Express®.
The Golden Chain Award Winners will also participate in the popular President's Panel held on Tuesday, October 14th from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Pioneer AwardThe Pioneer Award is selected each year by the Editorial Board of Nation's Restaurant News. A veteran multi-unit foodservice operator is recognized for professional dedication and contributions to the foodservice industry. This honoree is saluted for sustaining innovation and creativity, congratulated for a lifetime of success and gratefully thanked for a career of service. This award will be presented during the annual MUFSO Award Banquet.

Innovator Award
The Nation's Restaurant News Innovator Award is selected by the Editorial Board of Nation's Restaurant News and honors fresh, innovative thinking and practical application of new ideas that have helped advance the foodservice industry and benefited its customers. The award will be presented during the annual MUFSO Awards Banquet.

Operator of the YearThe Operator of the Year will be chosen from the group of Golden Chain honorees by the readers of Nation's Restaurant News. This operator is selected for exceptional achievement and leadership. The 2008 Operator of the Year will be announced during the banquet, held on October 14th at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
